Deutsche Gesellschaft für Designgeschichte GfDg Social Design hat in den letzten Jahren einen regelrechten Boom erfahren und erscheint omnipräsent. Aktuell wird Social Design geradezu inflationär als eine Art "greenwashing-Begriff" für einen Großteil unspezifischer designerischer Aktivitäten und Produktion disqualifiziert. Was aber macht die soziale Dimension im Design aus? Welches Potenzial besitzt Social Design? Hat Social Design eine Geschichte? Können wir von einer Theorie des sozialen Designs sprechen?
